Squamous Cells
Squamous cells are angular cells that can often be found in the epidermis, eye, respiratory and upper digestive tract, as well as within the external genital and urinary tract. While these cells are differentiating, the amount of angularity increases and the nucleus shrinks, becoming small, dense, pyknotic and eventually absent from superficial cells.
