This field includes both rectangular struvite crystals and round calcium carbonate crystals. It is normal to find calcium carbonate crystals in equine urine, often in large quantities. However, these crystals are sometimes associated with urolith formation in horses . Struvites may normally be found in small quantities in domestic species. |
