Clinical pathologist's interpretation

CBC : Neutrophilia, Lymphopenia, Monocytosis.

On the smear, we notice a mild increase of the nucleated cell population resulting from the neutrophilia.  (See a normal smear )

Clinical chemistry : Probable physiological hyperglycemia (unless the animal has received dextrose); Mild uremia; High hepatic enzymes; High muscle enzymes; Hypochloremia; Metabolic alkalosis (high sodium-chloride difference); High anion gap metabolic acidosis; Mixed acid-base disorder (because bicarbonate levels are normal).
